A Very impressive and large Italian framed Micromosaic panel of the Roman Forum In the manner of Domenico Moglia Rome, Circa 1865 The panel finely inlaid, depicting the Temple of Saturn with the Roman Forum from the Capitoline Hill, to the left the Baroque church of SS. Luca e Martina, the Temple of Vespasian, and the Arch of Septimus Severus; in the distance, the Colosseum, the church of S. Francesca Romana and the Arch of Titus; to the right, in the mid-distance, the columns of the Temple of Castor and Pollux, and the church of S. Maria Antiqua, above which is the Palatine, within a giltwood and ebonised frame, decorated with scrolling leaves and ribbon-tied garland surround The micromosaic panel: 31 in. (79 cm.) high; 59 in.
