A very large Dutch ebony and ebonized gilt brass mounted musical table clock for twelve melodies third quarter 18th century the inverted bell top case with gilt brass pineapple finials, caryatid corner mounts, carrying handles, mouldings and feet, carved wooden frets, glased sides and back door, the engraved gilt and silvered bronze dial with missing mock pendulum, apertures for day, date and moonphase, subsidairies for Slaan/niet Slaan and Speelen/niet Speelen and a selector for the twelve different tunes, the brass six pillared three train fusee and chain movement with anchor escapement with replaced suspension, rack striking on a bell and cylinder playing each hour or at will one of the 12 different tunes with 30 hammers on 15 bells, with finely engraved backplate, part of inventory label underneath; inv. no.
