Beschreibung:

Converted from matchlock, with three-stage barrel (shortened to carbine length) with fluted and punched decoration between two raised mouldings in front of the punched octagonal breech, large plain rounded lock, figured full stock (adapted to fit the lock) profusely inlaid with horn scrollwork, pellets and engraved mother-of-pearl ball-flowers inhabited along each side of the fore-end (reduced from full) with a dog and two marine monsters, opposite the lock with a pair of lions and monster's heads, and faceted fish-tail butt inlaid en suite and involving amorini supporting a mother-of-pearl medallion engraved with the bust of a Roman emperor on one and a king on the other, all within staghorn lines and engraved staghorn borders (some losses), iron trigger-guard (butt-plate missing), and later iron ramrod 76.8 cm. barrel
