QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
A VERY RARE GROUP OF RARE IMPERIAL PARCEL-GILT BRONZE 'DRAGON' FITTINGS QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY A group of thirty-five finely cast bronze fittings to embellish two cabinets. Comprising two sets of bracket-lobed central plates, each is divided into three sections with two descending dragons flanking an upright dragon, admidst ruyi -shaped clouds; eight sets of similarly decorated two-part hinges, each hinge is decorated on one part with an ascending dragon and the other a descending dragon; six dowels for insertion into the central plates for securing the keys, each decorated with ruyi clouds; and six keys, each formed as a pin with a circular loop at one end from which is suspended a floral-shaped pendant.
