A VERY RARE UNDERGLAZE-BLUE-DECORATED YELLOW-ENAMELED BOWL QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795), CAIRUN TANG ZHI MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE The bowl is finely potted with deep, rounded sides that rise to a slightly everted rim, and is decorated on the exterior with three flowering branches flanked by lingzhi fungus at their base. 6 5/8 in. (16.7 cm.) diam. Provenance Mrs. Joseph Regenstein (1926-2004) Collection, Chicago, before 1970. The Art Institute of Chicago, accessioned in 1970.
