A VICTORIAN SILVER INKSTAND MARK OF D. AND J. WELLBY, LONDON, 1900 Shaped oblong on pad feet, fitted with silver-mounted glass bottles and candlestick, with associated pen, engraved with the Pearson crest, the bottles each engraved with initial 'C' below viscount's coronet and dated 19 t h July 1939, marked on base, candlestick, inside covers and on pen 9½ in. (24 cm.) long weighable silver 25 oz. (787 gr.) The initial and coronet is that of Cowdray for Weetman John Churchill Spencer, 3rd Viscount Cowdray (1910-1995).
