A well detailed and presented static display model of the French Line Passenger Liner Normandie , with signal masts, aerials and rigging, and deck details including anchors, deck rails, spray shields, davits, hatches, superstructure with bridge and wing bridges with ODF aerials and binnacle over, funnels with ladder and sirens, deck lights, wood-capped deck rails, companionways, passenger accommodation with doors and windows, engine-room lights, aft decking, twenty-eight 'canvas'-covered lifeboats and two motor tenders in davits, and much other detailing. The hull, with four shafts with three-blade propellers, has loading doors, portholes, bilge keels and water intakes, and is finished in red, black and white and mounted on two turned columns on an inlaid mahogany display base with mahogany glazed case and table. Measurements overall -- 55 x 81in. (139.5 x 205.8cm.). See Illustration
