A well detailed fully planked and rigged boxwood model of the Royal Naval 28-gun Sloop/frigate(?) of circa 1785 built by T. Wake -- 18 x 25in.(45.8 x 63.5cm) With masts, yards, standing rigging, and deck details including carved lions figurehead, hair rails, anchors, with bound wooden stocks, catheads with sheaves, bits, belaying rails and pins, gratings, companionways, upper and main deck gun carriage ways, capstan, ship's bell and double ship's wheel, the planked hull has black straights and finely carved stern and quarter gallery details and planked and framed clinker built boat with thwarts and oars, in stern davits. Finished in matt varnish and red. Stand and glazed case
