A well detailed fully rigged static display model of the Italian Sail Training Ship 'Americo Vespucci'. --29 x 47in (73.6 x 119.4cm). With masts and yards, foot ropes and hand holds, standing and running rigging and deck details including figurehead, catheads with sheaves, anchors and anchor davits, belaying rails and pins, deck rails and companionways, bollards, ventilators, fire fighting equipment, hatches, lockers, signal and other guns, rope coils, fore and aft steering positions, the forward deckhouse with glazed wheelhouse above with ship's wheel, binnacle and awning staunchions, deck and engine room lights, funnel, eleven ship's boats, four in chocks with interior detailing, with bottom boards and thwarts, lifebelts and many other details. The planked hull with stern galleries is finished in white, black, matt varnish and polished brightwork. Glazed case and stand. See illustration
