A well-engineered 5 inch gauge live steam model of a Great Northern Railway 4-2-2 Stirling single tender locomotive No. 671, built by Mr W E Wilks of Bournton. Hampshire The silver soldered copper boiler having fittings including pressure gauge, water sight-glass, direction control, regulator and other usual fittings. The chassis with twin outside cylinders and internal Stephenson's valve gear, motion with connecting guides, safety valve, clack and water injector. The six wheel tender with fitted rails and hand operated feed pump. The model finished in traditional Great Northern Railway green and black lined livery with cab port-hole windows framed in brass, fitted steps, couplings and hand rails. Length 146cm. Cab width 20cm. Boiler History: Western Steam Boiler No. WSME 346.06.05 Hydraulic test 160 psi. Steam pressure 80 psi. Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies Boiler test record. Hydraulic test Expired 5th of June 2014 120 psi. Steam test expired 26th of April 2014. 80 psi. Issued by Westland & Yeovil DMES. Signed by Mr F T Waterfield.
