A William IV silver six-light centerpiece candelabrum of historical interest Mark of Edward Barnard & Sons, London, 1837, three branches 1867 On three scrolling foliate feet, the triangular base with acanthus leaves and three cartouches containing a presentation inscription and two coat-of-arms, the fluted columnar base with flowering acanthus vines, the detachable foliage branches with campana-form sockets and leaf-clad waxpans, the central fluted finial supporting three fully modeled figures representing Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton unshackling two slaves, marked on base, central standard, finial, and each branch, socket and nozzle; the base of finial, three branches, three sockets and three nozzles 1867 29½in.
