Provenance: The Collection of Bronson Pinchot, California.; Sotheby's New York, 1 October 1994, lot 203. Adam Buck the Irish miniaturist, was known for his small portraits. He worked initially in Cork and Dublin but moved to London in 1795 to cater to the market for portraiture in the metropolis.
