AFTER KARL BODMER (1809-1893) BY PAUL LEGRAND Women of the Snake- Tribe; Women of the Cree-Tribe, from Travels in the Interior of North America (Ruud t33) engraving with etching, aquatint and roulette in colors with hand-coloring, circa 1839, on wove paper, the colors fresh, with wide margins, pale light- and time staining, surface soiling, scattered pinpoint foxing, occasional soft scuffing, a few areas of moisture staining at the right margin edge, a small loss at the lower left corner, otherwise in good condition, framed P. 14 3/8 x 18½ in. (365 x 470 mm.) S. 17 x 23¾ in. (432 x 603 mm.)
