AFTER PIERRE JOSEPH REDOUTE BY BESSIN, CHAPUY (ACTIVE 19TH CENTURY), LANGLOIS, LEMAIRE, AND VICTOR (ACTIVE 19TH CENTURY) Les Roses : Eight Plates; Adèlaïde d'Orléns; and Rose Anémone Clématide ten stipple engravings in colors with hand-coloring, 1824-7, on laid papers, all with margins, pale light-, mat and time staining, the colors attenuated to varying degrees, scattered foxing and moisture staining to varying degrees, mat staining on the reverse, occasional soft handling creases, a few skinned areas, old glue and hinge remains in places at the reverse of the margin edges, some small losses at the margin edges, other minor defects, in French mats with wash lines and gilt frames, two examined out of the frames eight P. approx. 14 1/8 x 10 5/16 in. (358 x 262 mm.) eight S. approx. 19½ x 13 5/8 in. (495 x 346 mm.); and two P. approx. 10 5/8 x 8½ in. (270 x 215 mm.) two S. approx. 14 x 9¾ in. (355 x 247 mm.) (10)
