Lot of 28. A souvenir wind sock from the 1924 International Air Races in Dayton, OH used either to wave in the crowd or to attach to a spectator's car. Condition: some soiling but still retains its original graphics A cream silk Official Applause Flag with blue print from the 1938 National Air Races in Cleveland, Ohio. It is still attached to its original stick and has the original paper tag that says Reception Committee Welcome Corrigan New York to Los Angeles via Ireland. Measures 25.75 x 12 in. condition: some fraying on the flag and browning of the silk. A yellow and white cotton flag with a blue hand-stitched prop plane at center, with the words Dayton underneath. Two button white cotton hoist with brass grommets. Most likely from the second quarter of the 20th century. Measures 66.5 x 43 in. Condition: very good. 1936 American Airlines calendar attached with TL from the president of the company. Condition: some brittle margins retains its brilliant blue color. 1 commemorative blue and white poster from the 1933 Los Angeles National Air Races. condition: very good 2 copies of airplane blueprints for the SF237 Bellanca drawn in 1934. Condition: very good with penciled annotations from the designer. A small black tin plate from the Greenfield Tap and Die Corporation in Greenfield, MA with a painted red prop plane. Condition: excellent. Collection of 20 free posters people earned by drinking Thompson's Double Malted Milk. On the recto is a large photograph of an airplane model with its name. On the verso is a paragraph description of the plane, a list of all 17 models offered, and instructions on how to request a free Thompson's Complete Set of Aeroplane Pictures, Diagrams and Data. All measure approximately 19 x 10 in. Condition: most are in very good condition but have some toning of the paper and some brittle edges. The planes include: Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh's Lockheed-Sirius With Pontoons; Capt. Frank Hawks' Northrop Gamma- The Texaco Sky Chief; Aeronaca "Low-Wing" Monoplane; Douglass "Sleeper" (Model DST); B/J Army Pursuit Plane; Martin Bomber; Fairchild "22" Two Seater Sport Plane; Chance Vought Corsair; Ford Trimotored Transport; Sikorsky S-42A "Clipper Ship" of the Air; Fairchild "45"- "Sedan of the Air;" The New Stinson Reliant; The New Boeing Transport Model No. 247; Savoia Marchetti Amphibion; Boeing Bomber and Boeing Pursuit; Curtiss A-8 "Shrike" Army Attack Monoplane; Pitcarian PA-19 Cabin Autogrio; New 15 Passenger 1933 Curtiss-Wright Condor Transport; Curtiss "Sparrow Hawk;" and Consolidated Fleetster.
