Albarello mit dem heiligen Petrus Martyr — Neapel, Francesco Antonio Saverio Grue, um 1730 — Breite Zylinderform mit leicht eingezogener Wandung; auf der Schauseite Rechteckreserve, im Mittelpunkt kniender Heiliger mit einem Beil im Schädel, in einer Flusslandschaft mit Personen, Bergen und Architektur, zu seinen Füßen Inschriftentafel "Fundatus erat supra firma petram". Weißgrundig glasierte Majolika mit Bemalung in Blau, Grün, Gelb, Braun und Mangan. Verso auf der Wandung sign. "D' FAGrue Pingebat Neapoli a. 1732". H. 21 cm. - Restored at the rim. - Francesco Antonio Saverio Grue (1686-1746) was a native of Castelli, but worked for many years in Naples, where he produced Apothecary Jars for the Farmacia di Carlo Mondelli, among others.
