Lot of 12, including a CDV album containing 42 images, both CDVs and tintypes, of men, women, and children. Many photographers based in Ohio, such as S. Wing, Toledo; A.B. Fellows, Columbus; M.V. Gilbert, Ada; Zay's Studio, Findlay; and N.W. Smith, Fostoria, with one gem-sized tintype portrait credited to Andrew Bowman of Glasgow, Scotland. Images of note include a young girl wearing a hat and fur-trimmed cape; a boy in a double-breasted sailor's coat standing beside a seated girl, presumably his sister; a woman wearing a dress with prominent buttons and hair styled in sausage curls; and a young man posed with parrot, lightly tinted in green. Also with eleven loose tintypes of various sizes featuring men and women alone or in groups. Some are held in paper sleeves, including an image of three women identified on verso as "Belle Talcott's [?] Mother + 3 sisters," while others are under mat and glass. Three are bare plates, including two studio portraits of men and women in outwear, posed before a coastal backdrop. Condition: Album in poor condition, with cover and spine completely separated from album pages and heavy wear to spine and both covers. CDVs appear to be in generally fine condition.
