Some photographs are signed Bonfils in the negative. Each captioned in French or Spanish in the negative, or in pencil on the paper. A little over half of the photographs are of Egypt, the others are of Spain, notably Cordoba. Some of those photographs are signed in the negative Senan y Gonzalez. Most are 21x27 cm (8¼x10¾") with some variation. Photographs of the pyramids of Egypt, plus interiors of museums which house Egyptian tombs, statues, etc., plus a few portraits of women, Turkish women, plus a nice photograph of the Whirling Dirvishes (dancers & musicians), and men climbing the pyramids. The photographs of Spain are mostly interiors or architectural details of grand estates like Alhambra. Lot Amendments Condition: Binding very worn; photographs very good or near fine.
