Title: Album of photographs of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake Author: ** Place: San Francisco Publisher: Date: 1906 Description: Album of approximately 105 photographs. Various sizes from 3½x3½" to 8x10", also a few folding or multi-panel panoramic views. Mounted to the leaves of a period album, covers now lacking, overall approximately 11x15¼". A fabulous album of scenes of the destruction caused by the April, 1906 earthquake, includes several images of the fires on Market Street and several of the refugee camps in the various city parks in the days and weeks following the quake. Including the dining facilities at the Mrs. W.H. Crocker Camp. Most of the photos are commercially produced images by T. Hecht, captioned in the negative. A few are from other identified photographers and others have no photographer information. Lot Amendments Condition: Album covers lacking, some wear to edges of mounting cards, images overall very good or better. Item number: 230804
