Unmarked lock with faceted, bridled and fenced pan and flat faceted swan-neck hammer. Two-piece engraved brass patchbox, raised cheek rest with engraved German silver inlay and surrounded by flowing raised rococo foliate carvings. Similar raised carvings at wrist and entry pipe. Engraved German silver Indian maiden inlay in stock belly, forward of triggerguard. Wood ramrod secured by two thimbles and an entry pipe. A really attractive, very high quality contemporary rifle with flowing lines and wonderful decorative embellishments. Accompanied by a contemporary possibles bag with powder measure, vent pick and brush and horn handled knife in scabbard, and a powder horn. Condition: Fine. Showing little use. Crisp throughout, mechanically functional, fine bore, wood showing minor handling marks. Accessories fine as well, showing the most minor use.
