The highlight among the group is a ruby ambrotype portrait of a young woman, her cheeks lightly tinted pink, wearing a hat with fabric and lace draped over the top of it, housed in full case. 7 ninth plate tintypes showing women of various ages, including a young woman with a black lace shawl wrapped around her shoulders, wearing black lace gloves, housed in half case. 3 sixteenth plate images housed in full cases, including a daguerreotype, ambrotype, and tintype. Quarter plate tintype of a woman dressed in all black, possibly a mourning gown, housed in a burgundy velvet frame with small doors on hinges that are capable of opening and closing. 5.5 x 6.75 in. overall. 17 loose tintypes and 1 loose ruby ambrotype, most measuring approx. 2.5 x 3.5 in.
