An 18th Century Dutch walnut commode of serpentine fronted bombé form, the figured top with moulded edge above three drawers with Rococo style handles and escutcheons over a shaped apron to splayed bracket feet, 110 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS All over various scratches, scuffs, marks, impressed marks etc throughout. The top with some dark coloured marks and losses to the veneer, cracks in the veneer and some chips around the edges. Drawer fronts with some small holes especially around the handles. (Possibly indicating replacement handles?) One handle from one drawer is missing. A section of loss and damage to the veneer to one drawer front - see images. Some woodworm holes to the apron and some losses in the veneer. Some major chips to the bottom of the apron. On the left hand there are some deep impressed scratched marks and other scratches. Cracks to the veneer and various smaller bits of damage to the veneer with some woodworm holes especially near to the back leg. On the right hand side there is some damage to the veneer, impressed marks, scratches with some large losses of veneer near to the back edge. Some woodworm holes to the back. All over various general signs of wear and tear expected with age and use throughout
