An 18th century steel and turned wood winding wheel, stamped Aeblarti, with cranked handle, lower circular loop and pink fabric covered oval stand, height 20cm, length 24cm, together with a tortoiseshell and ivory shuttle, 14cm, an article from Country Life February 6th 1953, The Practice of Parfilage, an additional note regarding Parfilage and a handwritten note 'This needs a little amending but is a very good one' Estimate £150-200 Winder mechanism not functioning, hole drilled through the top and at the end of the spindle which perhaps once held additional items, scratch running through the wooden base, wear and discolouration to the fabric covering and scuffing to the red leatherette underside, shuttle with minor scuffing.
