AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE VASE, FANGHU 17TH / 18TH CENTURY heavily cast with rectangular section and undulating sides, the pear-shaped body rising from a short splayed foot to a waisted neck, flanked by a pair of lion mask handles and cast in low relief with a band of archaistic kui dragons against a leiwen ground, all above archaistic pendent cicada blades, the foot with a key-fret band, the base with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark within a recessed panel Height 4 1/4 in., 10.9 cm
