AN ART DECO SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, BY TIFFANY & CO. Suspending a detachable pendant, centering upon an oval-cut sapphire, weighing approximately 29.59 carats, within a circular-cut diamond surround, from a tapered circular-cut diamond and calibré-cut sapphire plaque, to the circular-cut diamond neckchain, mounted in platinum, circa 1920, 14½ ins. Pendant signed Tiffany & Co. With report 13100319 dated 19 November 2013 from the Gübelin Gem Lab stating that this sapphire possesses a combination of gemmological characteristics which does not permit a sufficiently secure identification of origin. No indications of heating With report CS 59302 dated 21 February 2014 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the origin of this material would be classifed as Classic Ceylon (Sri Lanka). No gemological evidence of heat
