18th century, Germany/Netherlands Standing on a concave foot with folded rim and a baluster stem. Depicting a ship being attacked from two towers with the coat of arms for the city of Haarlem depicted below and above the text ‘vicious vim victus’ which is the Latin motto for Haarlem which translates as ‘virtue conquered violence’. The other side showing a figure and inscription ‘Harlemum’. D 8,1 cm, H 19,3 cm
