An early 19th century gold, hardstone and glass intaglio necklace Modified from a bracelet, composed of a central three colour gold chased foliate panel set with four intaglios, including a cornelian example depicting Zeus and Nike, possibly Roman , a foiled brown zircon centre, and turquoise four stone decoration, to six matching graduated panels each mounted with two intaglios mainly 18th or 19th century including a nicolo example depicting a lion, one of chloromelanite depicting Venus Victrix, a plasma depicting Jupiter Serapis and a jasper example depicting the head of Socrates, possibly Roman , to an early 19th century oval intaglio depicting triple male profiles, each panel with two tier chain-link connections, the panels circa 1820, approximately 41.0 cm. long
