An early 20th-Century lacquered-brass and black enamelled compound monocular microscope, stamped on the foot Spencer Microscope ALOE CO Sales Agents NO. 79249 , with draw-tube and rack and pinion focusing ( defective ) with micrometer fine adjustment, triple nosepiece stamped 1.8 , 4 and 16 and simple stage with substage condensor and plano-concave substage mirror, the main limb tilting on a joint to the enamelled horseshoe foot, with a 10x eyepiece, 1.8, 4 and 16mm objectives in japanned metal Spencer tins, a further 1.8 and 4mm objectives in Spencer perspex cases, a very large brass Spencer & Smith 1-2.100° 860 objective, uncased, and a Hubbell bulb adaptor, further with scissors, Carquille's Immersion Oil , a box of cover glasses and other items, in the original fitted mahogany box with key and brass carrying handle -- 12¾in. (32.4cm.) high ; an 20th-Century steel and black enamelled simple dissecting microscope, stamped PRECISION OPTICAL CO. , with articulated objective holder with rack and pinion focusing, moving in the steel pillar, with a simple stage and concave sub-stage mirror, on a horseshoe base, with 5x, 10x, 20x and 30x objectives and two japanned metal table rests, in the original fitted wooden case with brass hook and eye and steel carrying handle, the door with a plaque for DISSECTING MICROSCOPE FIELD MODEL NO.432 PRECISION OPTICAL CO. - 7¼in. (18.4cm.) high ; and a simple lacquered-brass pillar microscope, stamped on the underside of the base GERMANY , with draw-tube focusing, stage clips, substage mirror and rubber base -- 6¾in.
