AN EARLY GEORGE III PIETRA DURA-MOUNTED YEW AND EBONIZED CABINET-ON-STAND THE CABINET POSSIBLY BY MAYHEW AND INCE, CIRCA 1765, THE PIETRA DURA PANELS LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY The molded inset rectangular top with outset corners above a rectangular case fitted with three cedar-lined drawers inset with pietra dura panels within applied molded borders above a long drawer set within geometric molded borders, the whole flanked by outset cluster columns on a blind fretwork parcel-ebonized stand with square legs and scrolled stretchers joining a medial shelf, the back with patterned green paper, one drawer with ink 88 to back, the base with chalk inscription 2179 RLBS , the stretcher probably an early 19th century replacement 41¾ in. (108.5 cm.) high, 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) wide, 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) deep
