AN EARLY MEISSEN BOTTGER PORCELAIN POLYCHROME TEA-SERVICE decorated in Bayreuth, the white ground applied in relief or painted with sprays of rose buds and foliage in purplish red and hues of green, comprising one bun-shaped teapot and cover with loop handle, short spout, the domed cover en suite with slightly pointed flat finial, 16 cm wide; one hexagonal tea caddy and cover, with alternating painted and relief panels, the flat cover en suite , 13 cm high; one oval box and cover, 14 cm wide; and six tea bowls and saucers, the outside in relief, the inside painted, the saucers painted (some minute chips, some paint faded), circa 1715 - 1720 (9)
