SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY The substantial brass movement secured by four double screwed pillars, single chain and fusee with Harrison's maintaining power, the substantial wheel work with two and three crossings, Vulliamy-type dead beat escapement, the 3½in. engraved and silvered Roman dial signed 'C.MC.DOWELL'S/PATENT HELIX LEVER/NO.169/ST JOHN'S/WAKEFIELD', blued steel hands, under glass dome; triangular shaped pendulum (possibly replaced) 11¾in.
