AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY AND EBONISED BOWED WORK TABLE CIRCA 1840 The shaped rectangular hinged top enclosing a mahogany-lined compartment disguised as two drawers, above a mahogany-lined drawer previously with divisions, flanked by stringing with ebony dots, on ring-turned tapering legs joined by an X-frame ring-turned baluster stretcher, on brass caps and castors, the handles original 29½ in. (75 cm.) high; 18½ in. (47 cm.) wide; 14 in. (35.5 cm.) deep
