An earthenware incense burner Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Yabu Meizan The lozenge form set on four bracket feet, decorated over the crackled transparent glaze in polychrome enamels and gilt with panoramic scenery, on one side with ferry boats approaching a bank of blossoming cherry trees, and the opposite side with a daimyo procession, the pierced lid and feet decorated with a profusion of chrysanthemums; signature on base 7¼in.
