An earthenware vase Meiji period (late 19th century), signed and with impressed seal Kinkozan zo Of square tapering form with high shoulders, the sides with panels finely decorated over the crackled transparent glaze in polychrome enamels and gilt with birds, figures and flowers of the four seasons including cherry blossoms, camellias, peonies, chrysanthemums and pine, the flat shoulder and edges decorated in gilt with flowers and leaves on a dark green ground; signature on base 6¼in. (15.9cm.) high With original paper label of Kinkozan on base
