AN EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE FRAGMENTARY HEAD OF A MAN NEW KINGDOM, LATE 18TH DYNASTY, CIRCA 1350 B.C. finely carved under the influence of Amarna style, the fragmentary figure showing part of the upper left side of the head, skilfully depicted with a subtle eyebrow above an extended eyeline and elongated eye, further rendered with a pierced earlobe, framed by an elaborate double wig with the upper section rendered with striations extending from the crown, the lower part with escheloned curls rendered in an almost geometric fashion 12.5 cm, 4 7/8 in.
