* An English Creamware Tureen on Stand leeds pottery having a domed cover above a bowl with heavily molded shell and foliate decoration, set on a baluster standard with mermaid forms, raised on a square base having a shaped skirt with shell decoration and seated figures at the corners, terminating in foliate scroll feet. Height 19 inches. Estimate $ 300-500 Property from the Collection of Charles and Nancy Frahm, Chicago, Illinois In fair and stable condition. A firing crack visible to the interior of the basin. Chips and hairlines visible to the rim of the lid. Three handles show signs of some sort of restoration, but uncertain of the extent of these repairs. Other areas of discoloration to the body and base are visible suggesting repairs to chips, breaks and hairlines. There is a knop finial on the cover that is in good condition, the illustration in the catalogue and online unfortunately hide this delicate element.
