An exceptionally rare Pahlavi family photo album, from the early 1970s, containing unpublished family photographs including parties, friends' weddings and family holidays, album containing over 100 original photographs [c. 1970] single album with 110 loose photographs, all but one in colour, mounted with corner-pockets, most in very good condition, a few creased and two with manuscript notes on the image, most standard 90 by 230 mm. or 80 by 110 mm.; housed in modern album, bound in black calf with gilt Pahlavi crown to upper cover This album allows us a rare glimpse into the personal and family life of the Pahlavi household in the early 1970s. The photographs almost entirely depict the Shahbanu Fahar Diba and the royal children, including the Crown Prince, but a few also show an unidentified aide taking photographs of them, who may well be the original owner of this album. None of the pictures has been published before. Provenance: Acquired by the present owner directly from a close associate of the royal family.
