Crafted with the same attention to detail evident on all Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, the design of this bracelet is an evolution of the art deco style into the retro period, with corners rounded on the plaques and on the tops of the intervening panels. Still, the rectilinear aspect is very much evident through the diamond shapes: baguette and circular cuts, accented with pav settings. A work of art, or piece of jewelry, can be classified as great only if the design is complete within itself; adding or changing any part would disturb its balance. This is certainly true of this bracelet, which not only is a visual delight for the eye but, understandably, also a joy to wear.
