AN EXQUISITE PAIR OF SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND EARRINGS
AN EXQUISITE PAIR OF SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND EARRINGS Each set with a cushion shaped sapphire weighing 8.74 and 8.65 carats, to the old mine-cut diamond surmounts, mounted in platinum, 2.8 cm long Accompanied by report no. 57402 dated 29 September 2010 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the 8.74 and 8.65 carat sapphires are of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural sapphires possess extraordinary characteristics and merit a special mention and appreciation. The 8.74 and 8.65 carat sapphires exhibit a vivid blue colour, combined with an impressive purity and an excellent shape and cutting style, making them an outstanding matching pair of sapphires and a very exceptional treasure Report nos. 99005310 and 99005410 dated 14 September 2007 from the AGTA Gemological Testing Center stating that the 8.74 and 8.65 carat sapphires are of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating Report no. CS 42734 A and B dated 3 August 2010 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that based on available gemological information, it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the sapphires weighing 8.74 and 8.65 carats are natural, the origin of this material would be classified as Kashmir, heat enhancement: none, clarity enhancement: none Also accompanied by a jewelfolio and a letter from AGL stating that to have two such well-matched stones of Kashmir origin in this quality is extremely rare. AGL has developed a match pair rating that defines the comparative similarity in appearance of two gemstones and reflects the uniformity of all quality parameters. These two sapphires received a rating of Excellent and this is the finest pair of 8 carat Kashmir sapphires that the AGL has graded to date The total weight of the two old mine-cut diamonds is 7.51 carats (2)
