An Fine Art Deco Platinum, Diamond and Carved Ruby Bracelet, in an intricate openwork link design with a pave set rectangular clasp, containing 26 claw-prong set carved ruby leaf motif plaques of various shape measuring approximately 5.40 x 4.70 mm to 11.37 x 5.20 mm to 8.00 x 7.60 mm, 12 round cabochon cut rubies measuring approximately 2.50-2.90 mm in diameter, five square step cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.50 carat total, together with numerous old European, old single, and single cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats total, bracelet measures approximately 14.50 mm wide. 30.80 dwts. Estimate $ 25,000-35,000 Length: 7 inches. Gem Characteristics (graded in setting) Rubies It is the opinion of the director that the rubies in this bracelet have internal characteristics consistent with those observed in natural ruby that has not been color enhanced through heat treatment and that the most likely geographic location of origin would be Mogok, Burma (Myanmar). The carved palques and cabochon cuts range in hue from purplish red to red, tone from slightly dark medium to medium, saturation from strong to very strong.
