AN IMPERIAL EMBROIDERED APRICOT-YELLOW SILK THRONE CUSHION COVER FOR AN HEIR APPARENT OR HIS CONSORT QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) The apricot-yellow satin ground is finely embroidered with seven cranes standing atop a blue rock below an eighth crane in flight above, all beneath a pine tree wrapped at the top with a multi-colored floral vine. The crane heads are worked in fine Peking knot and the grasses are stitched in silk thread and painted in shades of green. The scene is within inner and outer borders of lotus scroll outlined in gold couched thread, with a shou character below a bat at the center of the scalloped top. 32¼ in. (81.9 cm.) high, 31½ in. (80 cm.) wide

AN IMPERIAL EMBROIDERED APRICOT-YELLOW SILK THRONE CUSHION COVER FOR AN HEIR APPARENT OR HIS CONSORT QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) The apricot-yellow satin ground is finely embroidered with seven cranes standing atop a blue rock below an eighth crane in flight above, all beneath a pine tree wrapped at the top with a multi-colored floral vine.
