An Important and Unique Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Commemorative Dish Presented to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob H. Schiff by James H. Wilson and George A. Plimpton New York, 1910 Tiffany & Co., Makers No. 3357, sterling silver, 925-1000, and the letter M, which represents John C. Moore Jr., president of Tiffany and Co., 1907-1938, chairman to 1947 Set on circular spreading ridded low foot, the circular, finely engraved and acid-etched dish centered by detailed and conjoined portrait of Jacob and Therese Schiff, the rim decorated with zigzag Native American Indian pattern, the reverse centered by presentation inscription in majuscule letters, Presented to Mr. And Mrs. Jacob H. Schiff by James H. Wilson and George A. Plimpton, 1910 , surrounded by illustrations of glaciers (top), a totem pole (right), a steamboat (bottom), and Old Faithful (left), all encircled by eight-week itinerary of an excursion from New York City to Alaska, and back, marked on base 33 cm. diam. and 3.7 cm. high. 1164 gr.
