AN INDIAN KATAR, the double-edged watered blade with medial ridge on each side and reinforced point, the iron hilt with baluster handles and slender guards inlaid overall in gold with a design of vines (minor losses), in original green velvet-covered wooden scabbard with pierced chape decoarted en suite with the hilt, 18th Century; an Indian jambiya with curved blade similar to the last (polished bright), and waisted hilt gold-damascened overall with a bold design of foliage (minor pitting), in later red velvet-covered wooden scabbard; and an Arab jambiya with curved double-edged blade damascened in gold on both sides at the forte with a panel containing Turkish inscriptions in Arabic characters, and waisted walrus-ivory hilt, in wooden scabbard covered in embossed white-metal, both 19th Century The first 16in.
