An Isle of Man pottery figure of a bull inscribed to base "Shebeg I.O.M. A. Thompson Thevassesck Challenge at Three Years", together with an Isle of Man pottery figure of a shepherd and sheepdog seated inscribed "Shebeg I.O.M. A. Thompson" and a Beswick figure of "C.H. Bayldone Baronet" CONDITION REPORTS Beswick figure has general wear and tear conducive with age and use. Shepherd and dog - dog has a chip to the ear. The shepherd's stick appears to have been broken during firing at base and some flaking to the paintwork. Some areas of crazing. Generally in need of a light clean. The bull has a weird finish - you can clearly see paintbrush strokes and it feels a bit dull to the touch in large areas. Strong areas of gloss to the underside, etc. Under UV shows up as entirely black. Unsure if this is an original feature or whether it has been restored heavily throughout. See images for more details.
