An Italian bronze pax depicting the Dead Christ Supported by the Virgin and Saint John, after Galeazzo Mondella, called Moderno (1467-1528), 16th century inscribed PIETAS AD OMNIA, inventory number "3017" painted in white on the reverse; together with an Italian bronze portrait medal of Lucretia Borgia and Alfonso d'Este, inscribed LVCRETIA.ESTN.DE.BORGIA.DVC and ALFONSVS.ESTENSIS. Two pieces. the pax 6 1/2 by 4 5/8 in.; 16.5 by 11.7 cm. the medal diameter 2 5/16 in.; 5.9 cm.
