AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE GILT-DECORATED POWDER-BLUE VASE, MOUNTED AS A CISTERN The porcelain Kangxi (1662-1722), the ormolu masks probably mid-18th century, but probably originally furniture mounts, the ormolu rim mid-18th Century The porcelain decorated with figures in landscape reserves, framed by scrolling foliage, the domed lid with knob finial, the side with bearded masks, the base with a spout in the shape of a bird's head, above a floral entrelac rim and on scrolling foliate-edged channelled legs joined by an X-shaped stretcher with a berried finial, inscribed '14......./14' to the underside, the ormolu base late 19th century, the rim to the lid stamped with a 'C' couronné poinçon 20½ in. (52 cm.) high; 9½ in. (24 cm.) wide; 10 in. (25.5 cm.) deep
