An Unusual Cased Combined 15-Bore Percussion Sporting Gun And 13-Bore Rifle Circa 1860 With browned twist barrels sighted to 1,000 metres, the right barrel smooth and fitted with double bayonet lug on the side, the left barrel cut with nine rounded grooves, engraved case-hardened matt-grey breeches, case-hardened matt-grey tang, locks, trigger-plate, barrel-bolt and barrel-bolt escutcheons each cut with scrollwork and foliage on a punched ground, blued butt-plate, rear ramrod-pipe and trigger-guard, each en suite, the last with owner's monogram 'AR', for Abel Rainbeaux, in gold, varnished figured walnut half-stock (minor nicks and scratches), iron sling swivels, original blued iron ramrod, and nearly all its original finish: in original lined and fitted case covered in tooled pigskin, with accessories including clip-on sword-bayonet and scabbard, Boche pigskin flasks, and two bullet moulds, one for a ball and the other for a bullet, the interior of the lid with stamped signature 'Béringer Bté, 26 rue de la Monnaie à Paris', Liège proof, barrelsmith's marks JB 26½in. (67.3cm.) barrels
