AN UNUSUAL TURQUOISE-GLAZED SLIP-DECORATED BOWL Daoguang seal mark in iron-red and of the period (1821-1850) Well potted with deep rounded sides rising to a flared rim, the exterior finely decorated in white slip with two sinuous five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls amidst spiralling clouds and covered in a soft turquoise glaze, the interior glazed white and decorated with five bats in iron-red 5 3/8in. (13.5cm.) diam.
