Condition: Folds, with minor separations and small areas of loss at intersections. Framed and glazed. extremely unusual illustrated broadside ad for a quack museum on broadway, contemporary with p. t. barnum. Anatomical museums were similar to the dime freak show museums made famous by Barnum. As this broadside suggests, anatomical specimens (though generally wax models) were displayed. Besides entertainment for the curious, the museums were largely used as a means of advertisement for quack medicines. Little information is extant about this museum and we could find no other known copies of this broadside.
