Collation: π 6 a-z 8 \\i \\j \\g 8 A-R 8 S 1 0 T 1 0 (π1 blank, π2r Tornieli's letter to the reader and author's reply, π3r prologue, π3v tabulae, a1r text, S10r colophon, S10v blank, T1r table of rubrics, T10v blank). 370 leaves. 53 lines and foliation, double column. Type: 1:110 b G, 7:65G. 2-6-line initials, paragraph marks and capital strokes in red. (Small wormholes sometimes touching text, very occasional light browning.) Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards (slightly wormed), brass corner and central bosses, 2 fore-edge clasps, vellum front flyleaf, vellum index tabs, MS. quire guards. Provenance : a Franciscan convent, Monachii ad P.P. Franciscanos pro bibl. (17th-century inscription). Second edition of an authoritative compendium on canon law by the Franciscan Angelo Carletti de Clavasio. The first edition had been published the previous year at Chivasso, Carletti's birthplace, with the letter and additions of Tornieli which continued to accompany the text in virtually all 15th-century editions.
